Here’s one of our favorite systems, the Tri A88-SE (KT88) (Retail $1,799) , Rega Apollo CD player (Retail $995.00) and the Omega Compact Hemp Loudspeakers (Retail $1,399) combine to create an outstanding system that allows you to enter the world of SET sound with out breaking the bank.

Built around three excellent components, this system presents music with a 'you are there' likeness that is hard to imagine at this price.

The heart of the system is the beautifully designed, built and voiced Tri A88-SE integrated amp. This amp offers 12 watts of pure class A single ended power, 3 line level inputs and 4 and 8 ohm speaker taps, detachable IEC power cord and is covered by a two year manufacturer’s warranty (90 days tubes). It is a beautifully executed integrated that will serve as the heart of any hi-fi system for years to come.

As a source, the Rega Apollo is almost impossible to beat. Using a proprietary chip set that buffers 20 MB, (2) 8740 Wolfson DAC’s, a super stable laser and a class A output state, the Apollo has the ability to extract tons of detail with out making the music sound analytical or bright. The Apollo excels at producing music that sounds like music, with lots PRAT (pace, rhythm and timing) you’ll love the Apollo, it makes a great source for this system or in systems costing much more.

Finally the Omega Compact Hemp loudspeaker round out this recommended system. Using a single 8” proprietary hemp driver and no crossover the compact Hemp presents music with a naturalness and ease that will make you spin you’re your favorite CD or record over and over again. Lighting fast reproduction of transients, an accurate uncolored mid band and quick taught bass are the hallmarks of this speaker’s character. It is hard to imagine another speaker near this price that offers this level of performance.

Put all three pieces together and you have a system that is hard to be beat, you’ll even have enough money left over to grab some nice cables or throw in a turntable or tuner to complete the system
